One paste into your router,
then the dashboard

Most MikroTik routers in Uganda share an address with other customers or have one that changes, which is exactly why so much ISP software still asks for a fixed public address before it can do anything. Kafunda never does. The router calls out to us once, and stays connected on a link it opened itself.

Router provisioning

What the script does

  • Opens a secure connection outward, no inbound access ever
  • Sets up logins for your new site
  • Calls Kafunda to activate the router
  • Confirms the connection and logins are working

Everything Kafunda sets up on your router is clearly marked as ours. Nothing else on the router is touched. Decommissioning a site removes exactly what was added and nothing more, which is also why Kafunda can run on a router already serving another billing system: it never overwrites what is already there.

Why this matters

A router that needs an inbound connection needs a fixed address, a port opened on someone else's firewall, or a support call to your upstream provider. Kafunda removes that requirement entirely. You create an organisation, add a site, paste the script, and the router does the rest: no separate software, no desktop required, no waiting on anyone else's network setup.

What it costs

Setup is part of the platform, not a separate charge. Kafunda takes 8% of what you collect through it. See the full breakdown on the pricing page.

Questions about setup

No. The router only ever reaches out to us, so a shared or changing address does not stop it from setting up or staying online.

No. It only creates settings marked as belonging to Kafunda, and it never removes or edits anything it did not create, including any billing system already running on the same router.

Every change Kafunda makes on your router is safe to repeat. Decommissioning removes exactly what it added, cleanly, whether the router is being retired or handed back to its previous system.
